Top Tips - 3 of the most productive morning habits that WORK!

Updated: Dec 13, 2018

Want to be a productive mommy, here's how. Today's blog is all the top 3 most important things to do in the morning, that will change yo life girl.

Ok so, this is my first blog post and I thought I'd get us started on a more serious note because I mean its already late October and I like to get my life right BEFORE the holidays, NOT after (lol, I know...I know, but I like to save my New Year's resolutions for things like making a million bucks by December and paying off my God forsaken student loan :). I digress, so how about we try this-how about we get everything on track before the holiday planning takes up all of our time and new year goals fill up our plates and get on track NOW!

"I LIKE TO SAVE MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS FOR THINGS LIKE MAKING A MILLION BUCKS BY DECEMBER AND PAYING OFF MY GOD FORSAKEN STUDENT LOANS..."

So lets dig right in. I have my 3 amigos (aka Jordan, Dominic and Greyson) and The Hubs (Nick), who as soon as they see me in the morning can not wait to love on me and hug on me and ask me what's for breakfast. I learned a long time ago, that if they see me than they need me and THIS mommies was NOT THE BUSINESS! I mean the mornings are for Jesus, quiet and coffee (guess they didn't get the memo). So instead of being upset, I did the unthinkable- I decided to wake up at 4am! Thats right, I know I am nuts in some of your eyes...but IT WORKS (for me)! Now don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting that you get up as early as I do. BUT GET UP EARLY! Get up before everyone else needs you and give yourself some quiet. During this time, I pray, I read my Bible, I meditate or listen to music while drinking my coffee, write out my day and RELAX! That way, when it is time to be mommy, I am ready to go!

The next important tip I want you to start putting into your morning routine is, to exercise consistently. And no, you do not need a gym! I had a gym membership for years and never went consistently. So if you have one that is great and if you don't then...no excuses because there are plenty of home exercises you can do to get that energy flowing. Now this, you can either do while the kiddos are asleep (as part of your morning me time) or you can do while they are awake. My kids LOVE to do morning stretching and yoga with me. It builds a connection with them and you get your workout in-MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! All you need is a minimum of 3 time per week for 30 minutes a day. This is an amazing way to kick start your day and get those brain and body juices flowing. The last tip I want you to make part of your routine in the morning is write out your day! This includes your house cleaning, meals for the family, and work or goals. You could also do this before going to bed every night, but for me I find that I am too tired and just want to veg out on Netflix or read a book and not think about tomorrow. I want to challenge you to do these 3 things for the rest of the year and see how amazing you'll feel before 2019 even starts. Plus, you have one up on all of the holiday food you are already planning on eating!
